I want my students to be their authentic selves in every possible way, therefore I will never diminish what one’s natural voice is wanting to express. But in order to improve upon one’s authenticity, I believe we must master the basic elements of healthy singing: relaxation, breath support and control, placement, space, and expressive legato. If we can work to master these elements, I believe the student will have the tools to be able to sing in any style.

In addition to my performing career, I serve on the vocal faculty for Sheridan College's Musical Theatre Program and I am regularly called upon to give masterclasses across North America. I have conducted masterclasses for Wilfrid Laurier University, In the Wings: Musical Masterclass Series, The Latour Voice Studios LLC in Las Vegas, California State University at Fresno, Parry Mansfield Performing Arts School in Colorado, the Don Wright Faculty of Music at Western University, and the Charlottetown Festival Young Company. I have also served as an adjudicator for the Ontario Music Festivals Association.

I received a bachelor of Arts in voice from California State University at Fresno and have done graduate studies in voice at both the University of Illinois and the University of Texas. 

I am thrilled to have been invited to serve on the  International Congress of Voice Teachers (ICVT) Program Committee for the 2025 convention in Toronto, Ontario and to be giving a series of masterclasses for the 2024 Stratford Summer Music vocal Academy.
